I love how you’re sort of mooing the “Bawwwwwww” at him.
I totally have no idea what actually happened to your neck based on the comic. Did you catch skin between the buckle?
Minivet, I jerked my head at a tiny bizarre angle that… strained? pulled? twisted? my neck muscles in the most excruciating way imaginable.
Because I’m just that awesome.
*snerk* Oh, that last panel…I feel like I’m going to hell for snickering. XD
That was the funniest thing I’ve seen in a long time – mostly because I do the same thing with my girlfriend’s riding helmets.
Yes, it’s even more embarressing if you’re a man and it happens… Plus I’m pretty sure the horse laughed at me.
I hate it when that happens!
I’m incredibly depressed that I won’t be able to afford the poster until the 20th. ;.;
Ahahaha. I caught the skin on my neck in the fastening when I was six, and was terrified of bike helmets for the next four years… xD
Something similar happened to me, the result of very poor ergonomics over several years. I don’t know how you carry yourself when you work, but if you’re like most of us you are causing incredible strain and pressure on your neck/spine and this definitely will happen again. (My neck is an S curve instead of a C curve, maybe yours is too!)
Just letting you know that you are not the only person capable of hurting themselves on Safety Equipment. Two of the worst bruises I’ve had in years were from the Safety Guards on a couple of pieces of Bakery Equipment at Work. It was embarrassing.
Ouch. looks like it hurt!
I understand your pain, I have done similar things to my neck. It’s soooo sensitive to just the wrong movement!
Aww, poor baby! Just wait until you’re 50 and survived a few wrecks and people trying to kill you for riding your bike and then tell me how you feel… Damn, I wish I lived in Portland.
If it makes you feel any better, I managed to break a rib with a teeny cough this semester — just in time for my final!
I dragged my way to class, in excruciating pain. So surely you are not as full of failure as I! :D
Damn, the poster is sold out. :-( I gave up checking the store after a while because I wasn’t sure when it would be available. Will more be printed soon? <3
I suppose I could get the small one for now…
argh. I know. I used to catch my chin in the buckle all the time :(
Ughggughgughg, I know the feeling. I HATE getting a crick in my neck.
You think that’s dumb? I fucked up my neck like that a couple years ago reaching up and backwards for something while lying in bed (thank god that something wasn’t a vibrator otherwise i’d really feel like I’d failed as a human)
Haha, this happens to me alot when I’m dancing around, then I’m kind of like
“Lala Heeeee hee hee-huuuuuuh mmmm owwwww…huh haaah huh huh”
And then I roll and bend in slow motion kinda like that lady in the Life Alert commercials. My pain sounds alot like an orgasm.
funny, but what’s with the tags on this one, though?
your expressions in this particular strip remind me of the artwork of charles schulz
sympathies – my “favourite” (hm.) pastime is putting my shoulder out trying to struggle a high-vis vest over a motorbike jacket… why they can’t come built-in is a mystery.
Great line at the end, lol
I like the sound effect. An onomatopoetic “torque” eh?
xDDDD Erika, you’re so funny, you have a great sense of humor, that’s why people read you!
This is why you should never wear a helmet.
